Aishwarya Rai Weight Gain During Pregnancy

Not only is the amount of weight gained important, but also the rate of the weight gain. Certainly it is not good to gain 10 pounds in a month or even more, but if you are gaining significant amounts of weight after 5-6 months into your pregnancy, you may be experiencing something quite worse than just regular weight gain and need to discuss this with your doctor. Also, if you are losing weight during your pregnancy, consult your doctor as well.
Most pregnant women should gain approximately 4 pounds during the first trimester and 3-4 pounds each month thereafter. It should be a slow and steady weight gain.
